A multi-purpose robot, much less expensive, easier to operate and more compact than existing ones. I want to reproduce with robotics, what happened with 3D printing. The technology had been existing for many years, but machines were expensive, difficult to operate and maintain. Once one could buy simple machine for few thousands dollars, the market boomed. The production cost for this robot costs is now 3000 euros. It could be as low as 2000 euros produced in small quantities (100 to 1000 /year), and even lower for higher quantities. The hardware is very simple and maintenance can be done by anybody. The software that communicates with the motors and sends them the movements to be done will be aivaible in open source, So a community or users could improve it.
