Wontanara is an internet platform that allows immigrants to prepay for goods and services for their family and friends in their home countries. It avoids expensive financial intermediaries and allows the sender to make sure that the money is used on daily necessities. Founded by a Guinean immigrant to France, Wontanara just reached proof-of-concept in Guinea, and is looking to raise money to expand to the rest of West Africa.
